Our not for profit language teaching centre was created in October 2013 to offer language courses, exam preparation courses, professional courses and corporate services .
We meet the specific linguistic needs and circumstances of our learner by offering a variety of course lengths and intensities at flexible hours. The centre is run by a team of qualified teachers who undergo continual professional development. Our teachers will give you the best possible chance of achieving your language learning goals
Training
At The National Centre for Modern Languages we offer training in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Foreign Language. Our training is based around the four skills of communication; reading, writing, listening and speaking to ensure you get the most out of your language learning.
In addition to language courses we are also able to provide bespoke courses to suit the client or partner’s needs such as business and professional courses.
If you are going to sit a test such as IELTS we are able to provide preparation courses in order for you to get great results.
Facilities
Our centre for modern languages has recently had a complete refurbishment. We have a total of ten classrooms, all fitted with interactive whiteboards, built-in sound systems and air conditioning.
We have a library fitted with twenty state of the art computers and an optic fibre internet connection, The library boasts the best resources in language learning and teaching in Libya.
All our teachers are qualified to internationally recognised standards having trained to degree level in English language. As a requirement our teachers are also enrolled on the University of Cambridge Teachers Knowledge Test (TKT), the In-Service Certificate in English Language Teaching (ICELT) and Diploma in English Language Teaching for Adults (DELTA).
Certification
After completing a language course with us you will receive:
- Certificate of Attendance – you will receive this certificate if you attend the course regularly and this is rewarded independently of the final exam result.
- Certificate of Achievement – you will receive this for attending a course and passing the final exam.
- Certificate of Proficiency Level – offered for participation and completion of a course at one of the six levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

These include; The British Council, Burgiba Institute for Modern Languages, Tunisia; Goethe Institut, Germany; Norwich Institute for Language Education (NILE), UK; Northumbria University, UK; Pavia University, Italy.
